Hi Kathy, thank you for reading the piece. There are two instances of this, one more innocent in my view than the other. Council members seem to sometimes forget what they discussed and voted on in a prior meeting, and bring up the issue in a related conversation, as if the former issue had not been settled. Mostly it wastes time. The second instance, however, is when a council member, who was unhappy with the outcome of a vote, mentions the vote as a subsequent meeting, voicing again their frustration. What has become a procedural "second chance" is to pull something from the consent calendar that was approved at the prior meeting, and want to make change that are then voted on. I see this as abuse, which has been repeated several times recently.
