Recent Perspective on Daniel Deronda by Judith Shulevitz

Here's a recent take on Deronda from the Atlantic. The author is a Jewish Zionist woman who wrote this while working on the Columbia University campus last year during the protests. She echoes alot of what we've noticed about the characters, and about Eliot's own views. Worth reading.
